Oak Savannah regions are rare in themselves. These plants were found in the Oak Opening Region of Northwestern Ohio. The region, 130 square miles, is called by the Nature Conservatory, "One of American Last Great Places." Blue Lupin is a food source for the rare Blue Kramer Butterfly. The region is a photographer's delight.

OT Game Ball

OT Victory Game Ball - Images by Chuck van Rens

Great Coach in Dick Nuzum, great kids, great effort and great school. I mean what a joy to have the scene grab you. I think this is why we do what we do.

From a clarity point of view, can you get more striking than this shoot? The key is however the composition. Looking at the scene prior to the shoot, with a tripod, the mountain was literally telling how it liked things. With the sloping hillsides and the roads converging at the middle distance, it was like an X marked the spot decision. Looking up from the X the incredible mountaintop looms.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://lightapproach.blogspot.com/2010/01/on-clear-day-mt-rainier_09.html' title='On a Clear Day- Mt.
